Submission & Humiliation:-
9:29 Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His apostle nor acknowledge the religion of truth (even if they are) of the People of the Book until they pay the Jizya with willing submission and feel themselves humiliated.
#1281 Jizya: the root meaning is compensation. The derived meaning, which became the technical meaning, was a poll-tax levied from those who did not accept Islam, but were willing to live under the protection of Islam, and were thus tacitly willing to submit to its ideals being enforced in the Muslim State. There was no amount permanently fixed for it. It was in acknowledgment that those whose religion was tolerated would in their turn not interfere with the preaching and progress of Islam.
Imam Shafi'i suggests one dinar per year, which would be the Arabian gold dinar of the Muslim States. The tax varied in amount, and there were exemptions for the poor, for females and children (according to Abu Hanifa), for slaves, and for monks and hermits. Being a tax on able-bodied males of military age, it was in a sense a commutation for military service. But see the next note. 1282 'An Yadin (literally, from the hand) has been variously interpreted. The hand being the symbol of power and authority. I accept the interpretation "in token of willing submission." The Jizya was thus partly symbolic and partly a commutation for military service, but as the amount was insignificant and the exemptions numerous, its symbolic character predominated. *** One does not need to be a genius to understand the insidious meaning of the verse above. It is RACIST, DISCRIMINATORY WARMONGERING and downright OFFENSIVE to both Jews and Christians as is its intent.
It shows without a shadow of a doubt, that the People of the Book will only be tolerated as subservient to Muhammadan Islam and would never be treated as equals under any circumstances.
The Muhammadan Arabs CONQUERED lands and peoples who had neither attacked them nor invited them, and adding insult to injury were TAXING them for not having accepted their version of Islam.
The interpreter tries to put a less derogatory meaning to the verse as well as lies and deceives the unwary reader regarding the amount of Poll Tax (Jizya) which they had to pay that was invariably onerous - in many cases 50% - forcing many of these subject and overtaxed people to convert to Muhammadan Islam to escape them.
For 1400 years, both Muhammad and his followers, have arrogated to themselves ALONE the title 'Muslims' as if this was their concept and as if they were the only ones in the world who hold it.
They were WRONG then, and they are WRONG now, because circumstances have now changed since more and more people are able to study the Quran and Ahadith and hence discover for themselves the MENDACITIES and PERVERSIONS in both of them.
ISLAM only means SUBMISSION; that is, submission to the
One and Only God.
This concept PRECEDED Muhammad by at least 2500 years in the person of the Abraham, the Hebrew.
Moreover, the belief in the One and Only God, PRECEDED Muhammad by at least 2100 years in the UMMA of Bani ISRAIL under the guidance of their Prophet Moses, and in the REVELATIONS given to him DIRECTLY by GOD in the TORAH.
Every Israelite that has ever lived, every Jew that has ever lived, every Jew that lives today and forever in the future WAS, IS and will FOREVER be a MUSLIM.
The concept of ISLAM has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with either Muhammad or with his Quran.
